  1. Tonality with foam tip is pretty good! But seems the band width is limited and the treble is a bit peaky...Great work though, thanks for the measurement.

    1. You're welcome and yes, original foam tips that bundled with M4U4 can greatly improve the tonal balance. Really like it personally.

    2. How do you feel about the treble (6k and above) subjectively?

    3. Well first, I can notice the short bandwidth compared to other decent dynamic IEMs. And despite the foam tips did reduce the peaky treble, I can found a little harshness of upper treble, not severe though.
Anyway, overall tonality is pretty decent, so I'm quite satisfied with this pair of IEMs.

  2. Is the distortion acceptable? And would you comment on the comfort and isolation issues?

    1. IMHO, it's a bit high.
My personal tolerance of harmonic Distortions is under 1% for 2nd, 3rd harmonics and under 0.1% for 4th and over+ harmonics.

No fitting or isolation issues for me.

  3. I trust Paul Barton's judgement, but that hole at 6khz looks like a crossover misalignment. Maybe because of poor capacitor tolerance?

    1. AFAIK, acoustic tuning of M4U 4 is based on the stock foam tip, not a silicone eartip. So maybe developers didn't mind at all with huge dip @ 6kHz, which can be only noticed with silicone tip usage.
