Earpads of STAX SR-404 are too large to cover the ears fully, so these inevitably have sound leakage through the gap under the earpads. The amount of leakage would vary from person to person.

DeleteYes, ED-1 greatly improves the overall tonal balance.
You can check the SR-404 measurements for Harman target compensated response of ED-1. As you can see, requency response of both headphones is almost the same.
Do you have any idea of where can I get a ed-1?
