The dip at 3.8k and the peak at 6k are pretty severe. A 20 db rise within half an octave.
ReplyDeleteYeah, EX1000 is way better on that side.
DeleteFar from OW target + peak looks painful.
ReplyDeleteI either little bit disappointed on that peaks.
DeleteTerrible dip(-_-;) Are you going to measure ex1000??
ReplyDeleteAs you can see in this posting, I already measured a MDR-EX1000, in collaboration with CYMBACAVUM.
DeleteYou can check the link to CYMBACAVUM at [10. Comparison ].
One of the first 'high-end' IEMs that I've owned, I was satisfied with the sound but I remember it being overly sibilant. Unfortunately while I owned them I wasn't exactly a trained listener, I wish I could revisit it now.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I heard that it's discontinued these days. Now it's time to take it to the next level!
DeleteCould you share EQ settings for a 10 band equilizer to approximate the ex1000 to the Olive Welti target?
