This reminds me a bit of the cheapo Monoprice 9927 that Rin Choi measured in his blog. There are resonances at 3kHz and 5.5kHz just like that Monoprice. He managed to tame the resonances by the use of an acoustic damper--as simple as placing a piece of handkerchief cloth in front of the nozzle. On the LG HSS-F450 Quadbeat, he needed multiple layers of microfiber cloth to flatten the peaks.
ReplyDeleteDoes the same technique work for this IEM? Of course, there's still that elevated bass that needs to be dealt with.
Yeah as rinchoi has done, custom-made filters will reduce overall treble and especially peaks I guess.
DeleteI don't have this pair anymore so I can't put that to the test. Sorry about that.
hmmmm this or Massdrop x NuForce EDC iem
