Thanks for these measurements. Were you aware that the impedance peak is caused by an LC combination within the cups? Seems to be the first phone with passive equalization like that. Might be interesting to measure it without to see what they tried to compensate.
ReplyDeleteYes it really is unusual that there is a peak on the impedance graph in spite of it is planar-magnetic headphone. But I guess that there's nobody who have the guts to open it up and see inside to make it clear..
DeleteSomeone had, that's why I know. Unfortunately I don't find the photo anymore, showing the internal two components within the wool material of the cups. Can't remember where I saw it, sorry.
